Organizations like "Connecting Businessmen to Christ", the "International Christian Chamber of Commerce", and the "Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability" are examples of just a few organizations that are seeking to help current business men and women accomplish this goal.  The question before us is, how do we help those who will enter this field in the future?

What makes a Business Degree From Central So Special?

In a book entitled "Roaring Lambs", Bob Briner (former student of Central Christian College and former president of ProServe Television) made the observation that  we need more Christian men and women committed to radically changing this world by becoming experts in their fields of study, while at the same time becoming experts in their faith.  That is what studying business at Central Christian College is all about.  We do not see our faith as separate from our vocation.  This mindset begins with our faculty, who are committed to living out their own faith through their profession, and it continues through a curriculum that not only emphasizes the presentation of cutting edge research, but also the integration of  faith in your educational experience.

The goal of the Business Department at Central Christian is not only to equip students with the business principles they need to be successful in the national and international market, but also to instill in them the ethics and values that will help them be successful in all of life.  You will have the privilege of learning from faculty who understand the challenges of the business world.  And when we say "learn from", we don't mean sitting in a large lecture hall listening to some person drone on and on about issues that do not relate to you.  With an average of 15-20 students in a class, you can expect a very personal and interactive classroom environment. You can feel free to ask questions and challenge thoughts. Central Christian is a place where faculty and students wrestle together with the issues, and in turn challenge one another to excellence.

Central Christian College also offers a number of other distinctive benefits, such as:  

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL):  This is Central Christian's campus business club.  Monthly meetings include special speakers, films, and tours.  In the spring, members have an opportunity to demonstrate their business skills at the PBL State Leadership Conference.  Central students have won at least 12-15 awards each year for over 30 years at this conference.  Central Christian College state winners participate regularly at the National PBL Conference. In recent years, Central's "Business Decision Making Team" placed 10th in the nation, while our students placed 9th in International Business and 10th in Marketing.

Wall Street Journal Award:  Each year the top business senior receives this coveted award.  Students receiving the award demonstrate high academic achievement, club involvement, and strong leadership/business skills.
