Bachelor of Science -Sport Management Major

The mission of the Sport Management major at Central Christian College is to help students develop skills to organize, administer and facilitate sports programs at the corporate, agency, professional and amateur levels.  Opportunities are provided to develop knowledge and skills relevant to the performance of these functions.  Each student is required to complete an internship at an approved agency, supervised by a qualified professional in a related field.

The Sport Management program at Central Christian College is implementing the National Association of Sport and Physical Education (NASPE), North American Society of Sport Management (NASSM), and Sport Management Program Review Council (SMPRC) program standards.  These students have been developed to meet the needs of a contemporary sport industry so that students studying sport management have the educational background to function effectively with a sport management setting.  The goal of the Sport Science Department is to have this major certified nationally by NASPE by Fall 2008.
