Dr. Robert Wolcott - Chair

Dr. Wolcott Dr. Wolcott has been serving at Central Christian College since 1991.  He is a graduate of Candler School of Theology (Emory University), where he earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree.  He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.  Dr. Wolcott completed his undergraduate work at the University of Alabama, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree.

Prior to coming to Central Christian College, Dr. Wolcott served as a missionary for 18 years in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.  He still has his sombrero, which he will proudly wear for you.  As for now, he has traded in his maracas for a gradebook and pen.  Dr. Wolcott truly has a pastor's heart.  You will immediately sense it when you have the chance to meet him.   That heart has even moved him to continue in active ministry today.  Each weekend Dr. Wolcott becomes Pastor Wolcott, as he serves the Minneapolis, KS. Free Methodist Church as pastor.

Dr. Wolcott, affectionately known as "Bob the Tomato" brings a depth of wisdom and experience to every class he teaches.  You can expect to be profoundly moved not only by what you will learn from him, but also by his heart.  His love for God and his students is evident in everything he does.  Including his office, where students can find a fine assortment of candies to nibble on between classes.  Be careful though, knowledge might not be the only thing you gain from Dr. Wolcott and his infamous candy dish.

Larry Anderson

Larry Anderson Professor Anderson found his way to Central Christian College, from sunny California,  in 1996.  He is a graduate of Fuller Seminary where he received a Master of Arts and a Master of Theology.  Professor Anderson's undergraduate work was completed at Seattle Pacific University (Bachelor of Arts) and Central Christian College (Associate of Arts).

While in California, Professor Anderson served as Senior Pastor of the Cornerstone Community Church.  It was there that he began his love affair with obnoxious Hawaiian shirts. You might need to bring shades if you sign up for one of his classes.

Somebody once said, "Taking a class from Professor Anderson is like someone opening your head, putting a blender inside (on high speed) and then putting the top back on.  I will never be the same again".  That's because Professor Anderson is committed to getting you outside your comfort zone and he is not afraid to challenge you to go a little deeper. Don't be afraid though, he rarely bites.

Oh, if you really want to get in good with Professor Anderson be sure to bring him one of California's gifts to the world, an "In-N-Out Burger".

Lenny Favara

Lenny Favara Professor Favara is making a repeat performance at Central Christian College.  He first served in the admissions office in the early 90's and returned as faculty member in 2000, after serving in the local church.  Professor Favara is a graduate of Kansas State University, where he received a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (He is working on another degree just to figure out what that means). He completed his undergraduate work here at Central Christian College with a Bachelor of Science in Ministry and an Associate of Arts.

Professor Favara has served in a number of local church positions including: Youth Pastor, Minister of Christian Education, and Minister of Creative Arts.  Prior to coming to Central Christian, Professor Favara also served as the National Administrator for Free Methodist Youth Ministries.  Professor Favara says that his coming to Central Christian was prompted by a desire to see young people equipped with the knowledge and tools that will help them be fruitful disciples of Christ.

By the way, if you do come to Central Christian, don't be surprised by his rather eccentric teaching style.  Due to his passion for teaching, Professor Favara has been known to jump on tables, throw erasers, and sing.  About the only thing you can ever expect from this guy is the unexpected..
