What is CCC?
Central Christian College (1884), located in central Kansas, is a
distinctly Christian college committed to excellence in education.
Central's primary mission is to prepare students to be academically
competent, socially responsible, professionally astute, service
orientated, and spiritually mature. Central is a small, personal
college where professors know students on a first name basis and are
involved in helping them achieve their educational goals. Central's
student body averages just over 350 students which provides many
opportunities for involvement in fine arts, academic organizations and
athletics. All classes and campus activities are led from a Christian
worldview. It is Central's sincere desire and core purpose to educate
and disciple students to become Christian servant-leaders to the
world.
Is CCC accredited?
Central is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (member - North
Central Association). In May of 2004, we received a 10-year continued
accreditation! This is the highest accreditation given.
What lifestyle expectations are there? We do not require that everyone attending Central Christian College is a Christian. We do, however, expect students to live by certain Christian guidelines/lifestyle while attending Central. COST AND AID
How much does it cost to attend Central?
As do most private colleges, Central costs more than most state
universities
or community colleges, but is much lower than the average private
college
or university. The tuition, room and board cost for the 2008-2009
school
year is $21,500. The average student pays only $8,000 out of pocket per
year due to the large number of scholarships and other financial aid
available.
Are there scholarships available?
Central has a number of scholarship opportunities available.
Central policy allows the allocation of only one college-administered
academic scholarship
to a student at any one time. Final allocation is based upon the
eligibility
that gives the greatest advantage to the student. Scholarships
range
from $2,250 to $7,000. If a student attends a Christian high school and
has at least a 3.25 GPA, we have a $4,250 Christian Leadership
Scholarship
available. If a student has a 3.0 cumulative GPA and a composite ACT
score
of at least 22 or a combined SAT score of 1020, there may be $6,000 to
$7,000 Presidential or Dean Scholarship available. (Scholarship
information
can be mailed.) Any of the following scholarships are availale to
qualifying transfer students.
Is there out-of-state tuition?
No. Cost is the same per year whether in or out-of-state.
What Financial Aid is available?
Besides our college scholarships, there are several types of grants
and loans available. A counselor can help you with these questions.
Each
student applying for financial aid must complete a FAFSA.

Yes, about one-third of our students have campus jobs.
