3. When will I find out about my roommate?  Can I contact him or her?

Housing letters are mailed the first week in July and on a rolling basis after that, as students deposit. You will be given contact information and we encourage you to communicate with each other before arriving on campus.

4. How do I get a campus job?

Applications for on-campus jobs are sent in July along with a list of available jobs. Lyndsi Romero, Financial Aid Office Manager,  will answer any questions you may have regarding student employment. Many jobs are available including faculty assistants, telecounselors for admissions, cleaners for various buildings, dining hall workers, etc.

5. How do I get a computer connection/internet access in my room?

Every room is capable of having internet hookup. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the provider. There are several internet providers in McPherson. Normally, internet hookup is done through a phone line. Each room is equipped with at least one line that must be activated by the phone company at the student's expense. Please note:  Students cannot have anything installed or hooked up before they arrive.

6. Can freshmen have cars?

Yes, freshmen may have cars on campus

7. Is there storage room in the dorms?

All of the residence halls have space for the temporary storage of luggage and boxed items over the school year. There is NOT adequate space for bicycles, rugs, and/or furniture. Outdoor bicycle racks are provided at each residence hall.
