Central Christian College's Kasi Kraus, a sophomore pitcher / utility player from Eskridge, Kansas, has been named the Association of Independent Institution's Female Athlete of the Week, for her exploits on the diamond last week
The Tigers played six times last weekend, and went 4-2. They dropped a pair of games to York College on Friday, but bounced back to win all four games against Haskell University on Saturday.
For the weekend, Kraus went 11 for 19 (.578), with an on base percentage of .681. She scored ten runs, had four RBI, and stole nine bases. She hit safely in all six games, and extended her current hitting streak to 19 games. Kraus currently leads the teams in batting average (.423), hits (55), stolen bases (20), and ERA (5.44).
Kraus and her teammates are 12-31 on the season with four more games left in their season. They will be on the road at Tabor College on Friday, and then finish up the season on the road at Langston University on Saturday.
