23-Sep-2014 Article by Jeremy Nelson

McPherson, KS – September 23, 2014 – Central Christian College men's soccer player Joshua Taylor, has been selected by the NCCAA as the men's soccer division I player of the week.

Taylor, a native of Newport News, Virginia where he played high school soccer at Denbigh Baptist Christian School, was selected out of nominees from all the NCCAA division I teams for his exploits in last week's matches.

Taylor had three excellent matches for the Tigers last week, helping the Tigers to a 2-1 record with wins over Hillsdale Baptist and ending a nine year drought over the Tabor College Bluejays. Taylor scored two goals and notched an assist against Hillsdale. He scored two more goals in the win against Tabor including the game winner in overtime. He added a 5th goal for the week in the 1-2 loss against Bethel College on Wednesday.

For the season, Taylor has amassed 14 points for the Tigers with six goals and two assists.
