CCC Spilts with Mac College
The dual meet yesterday with Mac College ended in a split for the Tigers. The men won their dual 5-4 and the ladies lost a close one 4-5. Both the men and the women got easy wins at the #6 Singles and #3 Doubles spots because Mac was missing some players at those spots. The other wins for the ladies came from Tiffany Marx at #4 singles over M. Coberly 6-4, 6-3 and from Laureen Bartel at #5 singles over V. Salas 6-7, 6-2, 6-2.  On the men's side the tigers got wins at the #2 doubles spot from Adam Taylor and Kyle Arnold over Tim Koehn and Mike Davis 8-5, at the #4 singles spot from Kyle Arnold over Mike Davis 7-5, 6-3, and at the #5 singles spot from Doug Jackson over G. Yates 6-0, 6-1. The other matches were very competitive and close. Brittany Longoria was edged out at #1 singles by K. Buffo 0-6, 6-2, (10-8). Brittany Gillilan was defeated by A. Andrews 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) and Akie Kido lost to M. Griggs 6-2, 6-2. #1 doubles, Longoria and Gillilan were defeated by Buffo and Andrews 8-1, and Marx and Kido lost to Griggs and Coberly 8-4. On the men side, Terrance Guillory lost a close match to Jordan Rothrock 3-6, 6-1, (10-6). At #2, Rusty Blanchard was defeated by Nathan Clary 6-1,6-0, and at #3 singles Andrew Stauffer lost 4-6, 6-4, (10-7). The #1 Doubles team of Stauffer and Guillory lost to Rothrock and Clary 8-3
