A message from the Director of Adult Education....
In June 2001, the first adult students in the EXCEL Degree
Completion Program began the journey to complete their bachelor’s
degree with Central Christian College. Today, in addition to the main
campus in McPherson, classes are held in Wichita and Hutchinson. EXCEL
Degree Completion offers a Bachelor of Science in Business with an
emphasis in Organizational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science in
Ministry with an emphasis in Ministry Leadership.
The EXCEL Program consists of 48 credit hours and is designed
especially for adults who have completed
approximately two years of transferable college credit. Students can
earn additional credit hours through credit for prior learning if
needed.
Class groups, called cohorts, meet one night a week and remain together
through the entire 18-month program. The cohorts are small, providing a
positive, meaningful learning environment. Our students explore and
study together with qualified faculty who offer a
unique Christian worldview.
Through the business degree, EXCEL develops personal relation and
leadership skills needed for
success. Students gain essential business
management competencies through the study of broad subject areas such
as human resources, organizational behavior and communication,
management, strategic planning, marketing and more.
In the
ministry program, students explore leadership based on the biblical,
philosophical, historical and experiential foundations of ministry.
Course topics include spiritual formation, apologetics and worldview,
inductive methodology, and pastoral counseling and leadership.
