Some Personal Thoughts

Teaching at Central has been a blessing. After 35 years in the K-12 educational world, the college campus and its culture has grown on me. It is a joy to work with motivated students and a wonderful staff who are committed to sharing their hearts and minds. Overseeing the development of a teacher education department has been an exciting opportunity.

In fulfillment of our institutional mission, CCC’s teacher education program is preparing men and women to take their places in classrooms around the world. Our goal is to educate both the heart and the mind, as we are educating for today and eternity. What a great privilege and blessing!

When not working at the college, I enjoy working with my hands as an avowed “do-it-yourselfer,” camping and fishing in the Colorado mountains, and spending time with my family. My wife, Cindy, also works in the education department. We enjoy one another’s company and have been blessed by the Lord with four grown children, a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and three wonderful granddaughters. For many years it has been my dream to help others enjoy teaching and discipling young people as much as I have.  I’m thankful to be working toward living that dream through being involved with teacher education.
