financial aid - traditional institutional grants

Junior/Senior Grant
Returning juniors and seniors who pay room and board are eligible to receive $1,000 per year. 

Ministerial Grant
Students who are making definite preparations for Christian ministry may apply for a Ministerial Grant.  Five $1,000 grants are available to eligible freshman and underclassmen transfers. This grant is renewable for a second year with a 2.75 cumulative GPA requirement. Application must be submitted by April 1.  Grant recipients will be chosen by a scholarship committee.

Church Matching Grant
This grant is available to students who receive scholarship money from their local church.  Central Christian College will match the scholarship money up to $500 for the year.  (e.g. church scholarship of $500 + Central Church matching Grant of $500 = $1,000).  A Church matching Grant form must be on file within the first month of the semester for grant consideration.

Athletic Central Grant
Athletic grants are available in each sport and awarded by the coach.  These grants are a supplement to our academic scholarships.  We do not offer full tuition grants.

Music/Drama Grants
Music and Drama Grants are available and awarded by department faculty after an on-campus audition. More Information

Alumni Grant
This grant is available to any dependent of a Central alum who attended full-time for at least one semester.  This renewable grant is worth $1,000 each year.

Airfare Reimbursement Grant
Upon enrollment, Central Christian College will reimburse the cost of your airline ticket you used for a campus visit with a grant worth up to $500.  Eligible recipients must fly from a location outside a 400 mile radius of McPherson KS and submit a receipt to verify ticket purchase.

P/D Participation Grant
Received in the freshman year only, this $500 grant is guaranteed to all test-takers not awarded either a Presidential or Deans Scholarship. (see dates and details) Requirements: (1) Come to campus for a Preview Day and take the Presidential/Deans Scholarship Exam.  (2) Attend the scholarship Award luncheon following the exam. 

Central Grant
A limited number of Central Grants are available.  This grant is need based.  Awards are determined during the financial aid packaging process.   

Ministerial Dependent Grant
The unmarried, dependent children of ministers or missionaries in active service, retired, or deceased, without distinction to denomination, may receive a Ministerial Dependent Grant of $1000 per year.  This grant is need based. Eligibility will be reviewed annually.
