A message from the
Dean
of Student Development....
COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS
Central Christian College believes in community. We believe in a
community where people live together as believers in Christ. God
has helped us create a unique environment where students spend 24/7
with one another. They live together, eat together, worship
together, pray together, study together, learn together, play together,
share their lives with one another and develop lifelong friendships.
As the early church came together and were of one heart and one mind,
we are attempting to create that on a college campus. Central is
a place where students, faculty and staff grow together, learn from one
another and challenge one another. Central is a place where each
student can come to know about their own personal strengths and are
encouraged to use them to become the persons that God has designed them
to be.
The student development staff all feel called to this community to work
with college students. Here is our staff that you will have the
opportunity to work with:
- Chris Smith - Campus Pastor and Director of Residence Life
- Missy Mayse - Office Manager
- Karen Mayse - Guidance Center Director
- Dea Favara - Resident Director of Parsons Hall
- Tony Romero - Resident Director of Gillespie Hall
- Andrea Peronia - Resident Director of Stoll Hall
- Megan Burt - Resident Director of Kline Hall
- Leah Smith - Director of Student Activities
- Lanita Quastad - International Student Coordinator
- Betsy Adams - Nurse
All of these people are dedicated to the development of each
student. Our goal is to produce young men and women that are
equipped to impact their world for Christ as they leave after four
years. They will be skilled in how to apply their strengths to
their careers, their relationships, their families and their
churches. The ethnic diversity of the campus will give them
opportunities to broaden their sense of community to include believers
of many different backgrounds and will prepare them for the global
community of which they will be a part.
Please contact me if you
have any questions about Student Development on our campus.
