The move-in and orientation process for Fall 2020 will be unlike any other in the institutions 136-year history.  However, due to the presence of COVID-19 and the institutions focus on mitigating its spread, we are taking precautions.

Of course, we realize that guidelines and recommendations differ depending on your point of origin.  We also understand that there are diverse perspectives and opinions concerning the impact and response to the virus.

A core value of CCCK is STUDENT CENTRICITY, which means we plan with a focus on what is best for our entire student body.  Therefore, considering all the perspectives and opinions, accounting for all the recommendations and regulations, and assessing assets and ambitions, we have designed a balanced approach that places the greatest focus on the well-being of our students during this transitional time.

We ask that you demonstrate patience and respect, knowing that our ultimate desire is to protect our campus community.

Prior to arriving on campus, please be sure to sign up for your time slot, fill out any of the forms that were sent to the student prior to arrival, as well as the health screening questionnaire to be submitted for the student and each guest. Additionally, stock up any last minute items that your student may need by visiting Walmart before you arrive.  As you arrive on campus, your first stop will be at the drive-through entrance of Science Hall (enter the North, exit the South).  You will be greeted by the Admissions Team and by Student Government Association who will give you next steps and direct you to the residence hall.

As you arrive at your residence hall, enter the building at the main entrance where you will be greeted by a Resident Director and/or Resident Advisor who can show the student to their room. Each move-in appointment affords 1 hour to unpack and settle. Deliver your student’s belongings to their residence, and please do your best to abide by your one-hour time slot.

Once your student is moved in, take the time to visit the plaza to purchase some Tiger Gear, and finish your check-in. Finally, it will be time for a final hug and time to say farewell.  We will take good care of your student and look forward to staying in touch with you in the days to come.  Students will be allowed to re-enter their residence hall and room to finish unpacking and set up their room.
