Alumni Invited to Join Class on Acts

Larry Anderson TeachingMcPherson, Kansas – Classes are back in session Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Students have returned and thanks to the technology of Zoom, classes are easier to attend than ever.

As one of Central’s most popular instructors, Dr. Larry Anderson, Professor of Ministry and Theology at Central Christian College of Kansas, is inviting alumni to join him and his students via Zoom this fall semester for his class on the Book of Acts. Following a year where technology was a staple in the classroom and Zoom meetings were a regular occurrence,  Larry, as he is affectionately known, wanted to utilize this advantage to invite alumni to be a part of his class.

As one of the largest books of the New Testament and written by Luke, Acts concerns the very vital period in Christian history between the resurrection of Jesus and the death of the apostle Paul. It was a time when Christian ideas and beliefs were being formulated and when the organization of the church into a worldwide movement was being developed.

Excited about this opportunity, Larry said,

I would be thrilled if alumni would like to join my class for the 15 weeks or just jump in whenever they could! The course is scheduled for MWF at 2 p.m. The thoughts and questions of alumni will add great value to the class for our traditional students in the chairs.

If you don’t want to join the class for the whole semester, you can join us while on campus on the Friday of Homecoming weekend. Hope to see you in class!

The first class begins on August 11th and the only cost is $3.00 which covers the map they are using in class. Please email Adriane Carr, Director of Alumni Relations at alumni@centralchristian.edu to enroll and receive class specifics no later than August 8th so the map can be sent to you in a timely fashion.
