Alumni Obituary – Justin Matthew Powers

Justin PowersJustin Matthew Powers (Uncle Pow Pow), CC’09, passed away on March 31, 2022. He was born on June 29, 1986 in Dodge City, KS.

Justin graduated from Wilson High in Wilson, KS in 2005. He attended and graduated from Central Christian College in McPherson, KS in 2009. Justin had also resided in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and his final part of life was spent in New Jersey.

Justin is survived by his loving partner John Pettit, parents Bob and Kathy Powers, sister Tacy (Russ), nephew Nehemiah, niece Lyndlee, grandmother Mary Powers, Aunts and Uncles and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by grandfather Fred Powers, grandad and grandmom John and Helen Sommers.

Justin had many passions including Art, Music, Books, and Cinema to name a few. He loved his time in the singing group “Wadi Walkers” while in Central Christian College. Justin had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. He was a talented artist, and had an endless thirst for knowledge. Justin had a gentle spirit and was truly loving to everyone. He touched many lives and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to join in Justin’s Celebration of Life on Tuesday April 5, 2022 from 3:00-4:00PM with service starting at 4:00pm at the Adams-Stiefel Funeral Home 203 West Broad St. Paulsboro NJ 08066
