Briner Library and the Student Success Center have combined to create the Briner Academic Center. We are excited to bring this collaboration together in order to further increase the success our students have educationally.

Library FAQs

I can’t access the library catalog. What do I do?

Try watching our tutorial about logging into the library catalog and databases. If you are still having trouble, contact the library at (620) 241-0723 ext. 360, or use the “ask a librarian” feature at the bottom of the page.

What is a database?

It is a collection of scholarly articles you can reference while writing your own research paper.

How can I access the library databases?

Go to Briner Library Online and login. If you have trouble, try watching our tutorial.

What is a journal article?

It is an article written by scholars or professionals who are experts in their field. The articles are published in academic journals (like a magazine for academics). These are good resources to use when writing a paper because you know the article is written and reviewed by experts.

Why can’t I use Google?
