McPherson, Kansas – Last week, the Central Christian College of Kansas Soccer Programs, in conjunction with the local McPherson Recreation Commission, hosted the 24th annual Victory Soccer Camp at CCCK. The camp ran from June 3-June 7, and unlike last year, the camp was back to its full day format. This year the camp saw a whopping 98 players, who were all looking to enjoy themselves while playing the beautiful game. Coach Aaron Hoxie, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at CCCK, commented, “I was very happy with the overall turnout of the camp. We had great support from the high school, as usual, and the elementary kids from the local clubs were fantastic. The players worked really hard to make themselves better this week. All of them had smiles on their faces!”
Campers came from all over the local region to enjoy the camp with McPherson, Lindsborg, Salina, Hesston, Inman, and Hutchinson all being represented. The camp continues to grow each year and the coaching staff was able to maintain a 10-1 camper to coach ratio with Hoxie stating, “This is ideal for us in order to give players a unique improvement plan for their soccer future. I was very pleased with my coaching staff as they were all engaged and built relationships with the players!”
Plans are under way to establish a date for the 25th annual Victory Soccer Camp at Central for the first week of June 2020. Save the date!
