CCCK Names Kelly Pauls as the Director of the Physical Plant

Kelly Pauls and FamilyCentral Christian College of Kansas (CCCK) is excited to announce the hire of Kelly Pauls as the Director of the Physical Plant. Pauls has been on staff at Central since 2013 and will begin his new duties starting on May 1, 2020.

Pauls has lived in McPherson for most of his life. After graduating from McPherson High School he joined the United States Navy where he served four years before returning home to McPherson. Shortly after returning from the Navy he became a Firefighter and EMT with the McPherson Fire Department. He served in this capacity until December 31 of 2019, where he retired after 20 years of service. In January, of 2020, Pauls began his full-time role on staff in the Maintenance Department after seven years of serving the college in a part-time capacity.

In Pauls words, “Making a difference in the lives of students, throughout connections in maintenance, feels like a calling for me, and through many events that have happened in my life, and throughout my career in the fire service, I believe this is where God has called, and is continuing to call, me, to serve.”

Pauls married Lorna and together they have two daughters, Madison Welch and Macie Pauls. Madison graduated from Central’s social sciences department in 2018, and is married to 2017 business department alumni Dustin Welch.

We are very excited to celebrate the promotion of Mr. Paul’s as the Director of the Physical Plant at Central Christian College of Kansas. During his time at Central, Kelly has demonstrated himself as an invaluable member of the team, with a genuine heart for the mission of this campus. I look forward to seeing the ways in which he will promote an energized approach to ensuring a safe, inspiring, and efficient campus.” shared President Favara.

The new addition of Pauls launches the transition of the College to bring back the management of maintenance of the campus’ physical plant under the Central umbrella. The College has chosen to discontinue the partnership with a campus and facility maintenance company. Pauls and the rest of the Maintenance Department will oversee all of the campus’ grounds, buildings, and campus properties.

Join us in congratulating Kelly on his new position!
