How has our program has helped you successfully complete student teaching:

I think I was really pushed this last semester with my courses and working at a Title one teacher. I had to be on top of prepping for my lessons with my Title 1 job as well as staying on top of my schoolwork. I have been able to work with amazing teachers that have been pouring into me at Inman Elementary. These teachers helped me tremendously in understanding material I was studying throughout this last school year.

What you are the most excited about with your new job/school:

I can’t wait to create lasting relationships with students in the years to come. I also look forward to using my creativity to reach each student and their own unique learning style. God has created us all in such a unique way and we deserve to be treated that way in and out of the classroom. My greatest joy in student teaching has been the light bulb moments students have when something finally clicks, and a students understand a new concept.
Department Chair, Steven Smith said this of this year’s education class,
“The CCCK Education program has been blessed with the privilege and honor of building into such a high quality group of teacher candidates. Their dedication to the field has been evidenced in their commitment to excellence as they recognized the value of academic learning and field experiences within their journey to become teachers. They are all teachers of promise with hearts that seek to serve God through serving the children and families within each of their classrooms.”
