McPherson, Kansas – In the midst of these past COVID-filled months, there seems to be the need to pray more than ever before. People are scared. People are uncertain. People are seeking. Among the many questions people have is where they should go to college – if even they should go to college at all.
At Central Christian College of Kansas – an institution that seeks to develop students of Christ-centered character – we see ourselves as a beacon of hope for students who are struggling during these difficult times. No doubt there have been significant periods of uncertainty before. Nevertheless, Central has stood firm in the midst of these trials as an institution standing on the Word of God. Students have been changed by the power of the Gospel and we believe that power has the ability to still change the lives of students both current and those to come.
That is why Central has recently taken up the call to fervently pray. To pray that our institution would be a catalyst for the creation of Christ-centered disciples. It is our prayer that students would take hold of that Christ-centered mission – one that seeks to speak to the heart, soul, mind, and strength of each student that comes through our doors.
If you are a prayer warrior and would be interested in joining a group that prays every Thursday at 4:00 pm CST, please contact Dr. Dean Kroeker, Central’s Major Advancement and Alumni Relations Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org. We understand you may not be able to join us every week, but as you can, your participation is deeply appreciated.
Our desire is to lift up Central Christian College of Kansas on a scheduled time and to seek the Lord’s guidance as we move forward.
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV
