BIO

I have had wonderful work and life experiences. Some of the highlights are: Teaching at the Institute of Logopedics (now known as Heart Springs in Wichita, KS, with Speech, Hearing and Physically Handicapped Children, Board Member of the Kansas Special Olympics for 3 years; Worked at “Meadowcreek Project” an Environmental Education Center primarily working with college students as the Program Director: Assisted Hillary Clinton and other educators set up an Environmental Education Magnet School in Little Rock Arkansas; Program Development and Director of a Mission Training Center (SIFAT – Servants In Faith and Technology also known as Southern Institute for Appropriate Technology) in Lineville, Alabama. However, I traveled to South America, Haiti and the Philippines to set up training programs for indigenous develop workers as well as the work in Alabama. We returned to a small town in Kansas and worked at setting up a training program for mission workers based around sustainable agriculture. I taught in the local high school as well and helped develop an environmental education program through the OWLS State Department of Environmental Sciences Education. Currently, I work at Central Christian College of Kansas as the Director of Student Success Services/Disability Support and Instructor. Outside of my work at the College, I am on the Board of the LIFE Outreach ministry, as well as active in the programs which serve the under-served and homeless in Reno County. I also have served on the Reno County Drug Task Force. I am active in The First Church of God and involved in the Worship Team and Women’s Ministries. I am married and have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. I am blessed!
