Alumni Obituary – Patrick David Dwyer

Patrick David Dwyer (CC’98), 47, of Seabrook, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at his home. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Seabrook, Texas. Visitation was from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Pat was born on April 24, 1976, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He earned his Bachelor of Ministry degree from Central College in McPherson, Kansas. He was a teacher at Clear Path Alternative School in Clear Creek ISD. He was a beloved Coach/ Special Education teacher for 15 years at Goose Creek ISD in Baytown for 15 years.

Pat is preceded in death by his nephew, Scott Dunn and his sister, Terrell Dwyer. Survivors include his wife, Andrea Dwyer (CC’99); three sons, Elijah, Joshua, and Jonah Dwyer; his parents, Dave and Judy Dwyer; brothers, Mike (Lisa) Dwyer, Shaun (Christen Rush) Dwyer as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers were Justin Frazier, Shaun Dwyer, Mike Dwyer, Tim Kerr, Matt Stevenson and Lucas Ellis.

Pat loved making people laugh, worshiping, and ministering the love, grace and word of God. One of his many favorite Bible verses is from Ephesians 3:20-21. “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
