Don Anderson

Dr. Don Anderson, Central Christian College of Kansas’ (CCCK) 2020 Academe of Achiever Recipient, began his journey at CCCK as a young man during the 1940s having attended Central Academy and College and graduating in 1949.

Anderson’s educational pursuits did not stop there. He continued on to earn his Bachelors in Mathematics, Master’s in Physics, and Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics. Though he began instructing in 1948, as a rural Kansas teacher and principal at 18 years old, his career has spanned both University and Aerospace R&D; teaching in areas of Aircraft Accident Investigation, Aeronautics, Engineering Mechanics, and Physics. For over 50 years, he piloted his own light plane, was certified as a commercial flight instructor and instruments with flights covering the USA, British Columbia, Western Mexico and Baja, and Northern Ireland across Europe.

Anderson and his wife, Georgia have been married for over 70 years. Together they have taught crews to drill water wells and install pumps, bringing pure water to remote villages, schools, and churches. He is a former Board Member of CCCK, having served from 1992-2002, and is a strong supporter of the college through consistent prayer and love.
