CCM Seminar: Mr. Joey Lemon

The music department recently hosted Central English Professor Mr. Joey Lemon for the CCM Seminar: The Professional Band on Tues- day, Nov. 19th in The Warehouse. The seminar consisted of a mid-afternoon lecture where Joey talked about his experiences pursuing his undergraduate music degree from Greenville University to having his own band to worship leading, and more. He specifically spoke on the topic of the professional band and answered students’ questions regarding a variety of issues.

Later that evening, following the lecture, Joey – a member of the band, Berry – performed his own songs on guitar, vocals, and, funny enough, a toy piano.

The Central music department hosts a variety of seminars throughout the year. These events are open to students, staff, and the community. They exist to resource and equip musicians of all skill levels. To see when the next one is check out the campus calendar.
